Good day from Singapore,  


I cannot render 4K videos any more using Vegas Movie Studio 15.0 Platinum after Windows Update. 


When I use NVIDIA GPU acceleration, the rendered 4K videos are corrupted and not playable.  


When I switch to AMD IGD GPU acceleration, the rendered 4K videos are fine.  


Apparently Windows Updates made some crippling changes to NVIDIA GPU drivers.  


How can I resolve this issue?

Hi,  


This issue happens on both my Aftershock gaming laptop and home desktop computer. So it is definitely not a hardware problem. 


I have upgraded my NVIDIA GPU driver on my Aftershock gaming laptop from version 22.21.13.8205 (release date 1/5/2017) to version 528.49 WHQL (release date 2023.2.8) (GeForce Game Ready Driver).  


However, it still did not solve the problem. Vegas Movie Studio 15.0 Platinum still churned out corrupted 4K videos which are not playable using NVIDIA GPU hardware acceleration. There are no issues with NVIDIA GPU driver.  


I suspect Magix made some changes to Vegas Movie Studio 15.0 Platinum to make 4K video rendering using NVIDIA GPU hardware acceleration impossible, resulting in corrupted and unplayable 4K videos.  


I was forced to upgrade to Magix Movie Studio 2023 Platinum for USD$50 on 12 Feb 2023 Sunday. Now I able to render 4K videos using NVIDIA GPU hardware acceleration without corruption. Rendered 4K videos are now playable.  


As the issue has been resolved by spending money to upgrade my video editing software, I will close this ticket.
