Help! My HP Elitebook 840 G1 laptop cannot play 8K videos using VLC media player

I have a HP Elitebook 840 G1 laptop. I tried to play 8K video using VLC media player but it froze.


Is it because the hardware specifications of my laptop are too low? Is there anything I can do about it? Or the only way is to buy a new laptop?
