Subject: Did government hackers stop the syslog daemon in my pfsense firewall with FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT?

Good day from Singapore,

Yesterday, 3 March 2026 Tuesday, I have discovered that all logging activities in my pfsense firewall with FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT had stopped after 2026-02-28 12:26:47.

Did government hackers stop the syslog daemon in my pfsense firewall with FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT?

With no firewall logs at all since 2026-02-28 12:26:47, it is impossible to tell if government hackers had compromised my pfsense firewall with FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT. Am I right?

Government hackers are so smart and intelligent. They stopped the syslog daemon in my pfsense firewall. Now I cannot do any tracing and forensic investigation at all.

I had to restart my pfsense firewall at 12.18 am Singapore Time on 4 Mar 2026 Wednesday. Syslog logging came back.
